Ghanaian musician, Stonebwoy, has addressed rumours regarding his new album, “Up & Running.”

At the album release party in Accra, the “Jejereje” hitmaker denied claims that he released the album in pursuit of a Grammy Award.

He emphasised that his primary focus is simply to make his fans happy with his music.

“Truly God knows my heart…If it does happen to qualify and win, it will be part of the things that will speed up my art and craft. However, it is not my sole intention that I am creating this album for the Grammys else if it doesn’t win then I think that I will be doing a lot of disservice to the people who are beyond award schemes; the fans, the loved ones and those who relate to the music for their personal life,” he said.

Stonebwoy added that if the album qualifies to receive a Grammy nomination; it would motivate him to work even harder.

“If it does qualify for all the features that I have done, of course we must receive it because it’s worth it,” Stonebwoy added.

On October 23, 2024, Stonebwoy hosted a release party for “Up & Running” at the Alora Beach Resort in Accra.

The event attracted numerous Ghanaian celebrities from various fields, all there to support the “Jejereje” hitmaker.

Notable attendees included Kwakese, Nana McBrown, Camidoh, Cina Soul, Epixode, Efya Nokturnal, D-Black, and many others.
