Bishop David Oyedepo is the founder of Winners Chapel International
A video of the founder of Winners Chapel International, Bishop David Oyedepo, has gone viral, where he was captured issuing a stern warning to his pastors and members about how he single-handedly formed his church.
In a video shared on X on September 23, 2025, Bishop Oyedepo was seen emphasizing that Winners Chapel was not formed by any group of men.
He explained that the ministry has no co-founder and that God spoke to only him about the church’s vision.
“I am going to ask every member of this church to take time out and go through the mandate… God spoke to me in person. Everything to date, God spoke to me. Nobody met me here. Everybody met me here. The things I said to you are the truth and nothing but the truth.
“Nothing here came through a group discussion. This is the place that came to me alone. Rush into Africa came to me alone. Please familiarise yourself with this,” he said.

Bishop Oyedepo, further noted that he was instructed by God to purchase his newly acquired private jet.
“This ministry has no co-founder. The first one to hear of the mission is this young lady… This is the place. It was me God told. Not that he told us. I told you what God told me.
“It’s time to get the aircraft. It was not a discussion. It was God who told me. It’s time to get the aircraft,” he added.
