    Global leaders converge at Oxford to champion sustainable economic futures

    The 14th International Conference on the Re­structuring of the Global Economy (ROGE-2025), on the theme, “Promoting Sustainabili­ty”has been held in London, the United Kingdom.

    It was hosted by the Saïd Busi­ness School, University of Oxford and co-organised by the Centre for Business & Economic Research (CBER), UK and the Future Uni­versity in Egypt (FUE).

    It brought together over 150 distinguished academics, busi­ness leaders, policymakers, and researchers from more than 25 countries and over 100 universities.

    The conference featured an exceptional line-up of keynote speakers, including:

    Prof. Christopher Bellamy, Professor Emeritus, University of Greenwich, UK; Rear Admiral Khaled Iqbal, Former Vice-Chan­cellor, Bangladesh Maritime University; Prof. Peter Cook, PCA Maritime, Australia; Dr Michael Richard Wagner, University of Cincinnati, USA; Prof. Ahmed Sayed Salama, Future University in Egypt; Dr Flomny Menon, Regent College London; Prof. David Graves, Centre for the Study of Organised Crime, UK; Prof. Hany Elshamy, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Business Adminis­tration, Future University in Egypt; and Prof. Srinivasan Iyengar, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Manage­ment Studies, India.

    A highlight of ROGE-2025 was the CBER Honorary Fellowship Awards, recognising exceptional leadership, scholarship, and service to global education and research. Six outstanding figures from Ni­geria, India, Ghana, the USA, and Pakistan were honoured for their lasting impact. These fellowships celebrate remarkable leadership, scholarly excellence, and lifelong dedication to advancing knowledge and practice.

    Honorary Fellowship Recipi­ents include Dr Emmanuel Attah Kumah Amponsah, Head of Accounting, Banking and Finance Department, Ghana Communica­tion Technology University, Ghana; 2025: Prof. Saadatu Hassan Liman, Vice Chancellor, Nasarawa State University, Keffi – Nigeria; Prof. (Dr.) Pranam Dhar, Professor & Former Head, Department of Commerce, West Bengal State University, West Bengal, India; Dr Vidhu Gaur, Associate Profes­sor – Business Communication, Management Development Insti­tute Gurgaon, India; Prof. (Dr.) Michael Richard Wagner, Director, Master of Arts in Human Re­sources Program, Lindner Honors Faculty, Carl H. Lindner College of Business, University of Cincinnati, USA; Prof. Dr. Tayyaba Zarif, Vice Chancellor, Government College University Hyderabad (GCUH), University of Hyderabad, Pakistan

    The President of Future University in Egypt and Honorary President of the Conference, Prof. Ebada Sarhan, remarked: “This conference stood as a beacon for innovation, collaboration, and the shared pursuit of sustainable solutions. Our mission was not only to address today’s challenges but to shape a future where eco­nomic growth is both inclusive and responsible.”

    The Executive Chair of CBER, Senior Lecturer and Scholarship Lead of Regent College London, UK and Conference Co-chair of ROGE-2025 Dr. P.R. Datta said: “When global minds meet, ideas take flight. ROGE-2025 was more than a conference—it was a cata­lyst for knowledge exchange, policy influence, and professional growth. Together, we sought to redefine how economies evolve in an age of uncertainty.”

    A Platform for Innovation and Dialogue: In addition to its academic sessions, the conference hosted the international launch of The Octagon of Scaling Mantras, the latest book by Dr Palto Datta and Assad Irfan Shamsi, offering a ground breaking framework for sustainable business growth.
