Award-winning Ghanaian rapper Amerado has firmly responded to critics and trolls ridiculing his recently published list of achievements for 2024.

The list, which highlighted the numerous shows he performed at, the awards he bagged, and other milestones, sparked an online debate with many zeroing in on show number 45, his performance at the outdooring ceremony of Dr. Agyemang Prempeh, the Member of Parliament for Akyem Tafo.

While some mocked the show as being beneath the status of a prominent artist like Amerado, the rapper hit back with an assertive response on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

He revealed that he charged a staggering GH₵100,000 to perform at the event.

“Show number 45, the outdooring show, Ghc100k, well bagged,” Amerado wrote.

His statement has since reignited the debate about the commercial value of performances in smaller communities versus mainstream urban platforms.

The rapper also pointed out that his strategy is focused on versatility and financial growth rather than limiting himself to a particular audience.
