Ghana international Tariq Lamptey delivered a standout performance for Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday night, contributing an assist in the team’s 1-1 draw with Southampton at the Amex Stadium.

Lamptey, deployed as a right-back, was instrumental in Brighton’s attacking play. His well-timed assist in the 29th minute set up Kaoru Mitoma, who finished clinically to give the hosts an early lead.

Brighton maintained their advantage heading into halftime, but Southampton mounted a strong comeback in the second half. The visitors equalized in the 59th minute through Flynn Downes, ensuring a tense final half-hour.

Tariq Lamptey’s impressive display lasted 72 minutes before he was substituted for Lewis Dunk. The Ghanaian showcased his trademark pace and defensive solidity throughout his time on the pitch.

The game also featured another Ghanaian, Kamaldeen Sulemana, who came on as a late substitute for Southampton. Despite his efforts to influence the game, the match ended in a stalemate, with both teams settling for a point.

Lamptey’s form continues to highlight his value to Brighton, while Sulemana remains focused on earning more minutes as the season progresses.
