The Ghana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) has announced the selection of three Ghanaian administrators for the prestigious World Rugby Women in Rugby Careers Programme, marking a significant milestone for women’s leadership in the sport. 

Samira Mensah, General Manager of the GRFU, Rachel Ankomah, Director of Corporate Communications, and Matilda Clottey, Weija Gbawe Municipal Sports Director, have all been chosen to participate in the initiative. Their inclusion reflects Ghana’s growing influence in rugby administration and highlights their individual contributions to the development of the sport at various levels.

The program is designed to empower women working in rugby by providing access to leadership training, communication development, and career advancement opportunities. Participants will engage in a series of structured sessions while connecting with a global network of female professionals in the sport.

The selection of the three officials is seen as a major step in promoting gender inclusion and strengthening the role of women in rugby across Ghana. It also underscores the GRFU’s commitment to developing capacity and expanding opportunities within the game.
