The stage is set, the countdown is on, and the clarion call is clear: Ghana’s food system is gathering for a historic moment this Farmers Day Weekend as the Gastro FEASTIVAL makes its highly anticipated debut on December 6 & 7 at the Palms Convention Centre.

What began earlier this year as an idea — a bold ambition to bring Ghana’s entire food ecosystem under one roof — has now grown into a national movement redefining how the country thinks about food, farming, agribusiness, and the creative economy of cuisine.

A Journey Rooted in Vision — From Seed to Celebration

In March 2025, the Gastro Feastival was quietly introduced as a flagship initiative designed to convene the full value chain “from Farm to Fork.” The concept was radical:

Use food as a platform to educate, innovate, entertain, and drive national development.

Since then, the journey has been remarkable:

    1. A National Conversation Sparked

Through the Table of 8 Podcast Series, the Feastival ignited important conversations about the future of Ghana’s food system.

From forgotten grains to the economics of tomatoes and plantain culture to this week’s Episode 5 exploring whether rice can lead Ghana to prosperity again, each episode has peeled back deeper issues while inspiring solutions.

Panelists such as farmers, processors, chefs, innovators, and agribusiness leaders shared insights on quality perception, youth participation, market linkages and value chain challenges — all tied back to Ghana’s food security future.

    2. Culinary Storytelling that Captivates

Every episode of the podcast has been paired with a curated 3-course meal crafted by celebrated chefs, including PaJohn’s and Chef Rebecca Asamoah, amongst others, reflecting the ingredients and themes discussed.

This unique blend of knowledge + cuisine has become the signature DNA of the Gastro Feastival experience.

    3. Strong Institutional Backing

The initiative is proudly supported by the Presidential Initiative for Agriculture & Agribusiness (PIAA), signalling national commitment to repositioning Ghana’s agrifood system for global competitiveness.

    4. A Platform Designed for Youth & Innovation

With the launch of the Agribusiness Pitch, the Feastival is nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs — from students to young innovators — who are developing solutions across food production, processing, logistics, technology and nutrition.

The Grand Convergence Happens This Weekend

All roads lead to the Palms Convention Centre on December 6 & 7 for the grand climax:

    Food Exhibitions & Marketplace

A vibrant showcase of farmers, processors, culinary brands, innovators, and regional specialties.

    Masterclasses & Demonstrations

Chefs, agronomists, processors and industry experts sharing practical skills from farm practices to food safety and culinary creativity.

    Agribusiness Pitch Finale

Where the most promising young entrepreneurs compete for support, mentorship, and industry exposure.

    Entertainment, Culture & Celebration

Because food isn’t food without rhythm, heritage and Ghanaian flair.

Why Attend? Because the Future of Food Is Everyone’s Business

Gastro Feastival isn’t just another event —

it’s the beginning of a new national narrative.

    A narrative that:

    • Empowers farmers

    • Spotlights youth innovation

    • Promotes local consumption

    • Strengthens value chains, celebrates our culinary identity

    • Positions food as a driver of economic transformation.

This weekend’s event is the climax of a movement —

and your voice, presence and support matter.

    A Clarion Call to Ghana

    Ghana, this is your invitation.

Come experience the full story of your food system.

    Come taste the possibilities.

    Come witness the innovation.

Come support the farmers, chefs, students, and entrepreneurs shaping the nation’s agrifood future.

The Gastro Feastival is officially sponsored by Enterprise Life, Blue Skies, Tasty Tom, Express Gas, Bel Aqua, Onga, The Farmers Market, Frankatson, Kivo, Ennovate, PIAA, FAGE, Liquor Junction, YFM, MX24, ZED fm and Joy 99.7 FM

Join us at the Gastro Feastival — where Ghana’s food story is being rewritten.
