Ghanaian striker Naeem Mohammed has completed a move to South Korean club Chungnam Asan FC after leaving Swedish side Halmstads BK at the end of his contract.

The 29-year-old forward was officially unveiled by the K League 2 outfit on Tuesday as the club looks to strengthen its attacking options for the ongoing 2026 season. Mohammed joins the South Korean side after spending three seasons in Sweden with Halmstads BK.

During his time with the club, the Ghanaian striker made 73 appearances, scoring 19 goals and providing six assists. His performances helped establish him as a reliable attacking option in the Swedish league.

Speaking after completing the transfer, Mohammed expressed excitement about the new chapter in his career and his ambition to contribute to the team’s success.

“I am very happy to have signed for Chungnam Asan FC. I want to get into the team quickly and show good performances in front of the fans,” he said, adding that he hopes to score goals to help the team secure victories.

Before joining Halmstads BK, Mohammed enjoyed a prolific spell with Sandvikens IF, where he scored 23 goals in 27 matches in 2022 to finish as the league’s top scorer.

He is expected to boost Chungnam Asan’s attack as they aim for a strong campaign this season.
