Ghanaians have expressed their shock over Thomas Partey’s speedy recovery for Arsenal in the Premier League after missing two Black Stars

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta announced in his press conference on Friday, October 18, 2024, that Black Stars skipper Thomas Partey is fit to feature in the Gunners’ game against Bournemouth.

Arteta revealed Partey’s medical condition during a pre-match conference when he gave an update on the fitness of some of his injured players ahead of the game.

He stated that Partey “is fit and ready to play” when asked about the situation of the Ghanaian after he missed Ghana’s games against Sudan during the international break.

While some Ghanaians are disappointed, Arsenal fans are excited about the news as they believe his availability is significant for their title charge.

Thomas Partey was pulled out of Ghana’s squad after an email from Arsenal revealed that the player was unwell.

The player refused to fly to Ghana for further assessment and thus was replaced in the squad.

    Read some reactions below:

Great to hear Partey is back! If Martinelli and Havertz make the cut, Arsenal’s lineup could be stronger than expected this weekend.

Thomas Partey’s return is a big boost for Arsenal. With Martinelli and Havertz still in the balance, Arteta’s cautious optimism about White, Timber, and Zinchenko is promising. Having them back would definitely strengthen the squad. Let’s see how it unfolds.

    He should be ban forever

    — Daafi (@Daafi7) October 18, 2024

I will be surprised to see any coach invite Partey to the Black Stars. Most of these players don’t understand that the national team gives them the bigger stage to shine. The focus should not be on players who play in bigger leagues, but those who understand why they’re included.
