Ghanaian soldier and internet personality Raymond Kwaku has officially become a citizen of the United States, marking another major milestone in his journey from the Ghana Armed Forces to the US military.

Raymond, who gained widespread attention in Ghana after becoming a social media sensation several years ago, shared the news of his naturalisation with his followers on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Footage posted on his TikTok account showed the former Ghanaian soldier participating in a US Naturalisation Ceremony held indoors at what appeared to be a Department of Homeland Security facility.

In the video, several service members could be seen seated in rows while reviewing their US citizenship documents. The ceremony later ended with celebratory group photographs, with participants holding American flags as military and state flags formed the backdrop.

Raymond expressed gratitude to God, the United States and the US Army for supporting him through his journey and helping him attain American citizenship.

“My God is the greatest. God bless America and bless the American army,” he wrote in the caption accompanying the video.

Raymond’s latest achievement comes more than a year after he made a major career decision to leave the Ghana Armed Forces and relocate to the United States, where he enlisted in the US Army in 2025.

Before relocating, Raymond had served in the Ghana Armed Forces for close to two decades. He enlisted in 2005 and built a lengthy military career before eventually deciding to pursue a new chapter in the United States.
