Keisha clinged to her long-lost father following their reunion

A Ghanaian man, Edward Boateng, who recently reunited with his daughter, Keisha Nana Yaa Boateng, three decades after being deported from the United Kingdom, has spoken out about the matter.

In one of the videos shared on social media, Edward recounted his struggles to reconnect with his family after being deported.

“I tried to locate them over the years, but all efforts did not yield results. My late brother visited their house three times, but they had since moved out of the area. Thanks to social media and these guys, we are here today,” he said.

Edward also shared memories of Keisha’s grandmother, Caroline Rose, who lived in Brixton Hill, London.

He recalled her as a strong woman who lived into her late 90s, saying, “Even at 87, 88 when I met her, she was strong and fit. Your grandma lived a long life and passed on around 97 years old.”

The long-awaited reunion was made possible through a social media campaign launched by Good Samaritans who amplified Keisha’s search for her father.

Keisha, a 30-year-old British-born woman, had grown up with only fragments of information about her father, gathered from her mother.

In early September 2025, she travelled to Ghana, determined to find him. With the support of well-wishers, including campaigner Theo Versace, her search gained traction online, eventually leading to the discovery of Edward Boateng.

Theo Versace, who spearheaded the campaign, confirmed the authenticity of Edward’s claim to being Keisha’s father.

“The man was able to mention Keisha’s mother’s full name, confirm where she worked before they met, mention her uncle’s name and verify details Keisha’s mother had shared. Everything aligns,” he explained.

While the emotional reunion has been celebrated, Edward stressed that a DNA test will be conducted to confirm his paternity formally. The two were last seen together in a video update shared by influencer Sika Official on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

Despite the challenges, including false leads and attempted scams during the search, Keisha expressed gratitude for finally meeting the man she had been searching for her entire life.
