Stephen King Amoah, a Ghana Immigration Service officer recently reported missing, has been found dead.

A family member revealed that his body was recovered on July 8, 2025, badly burned and later identified as Stephen’s. The relative assisted police in confirming the identity.

Stephen had gone missing on July 3, 2025, after meeting a friend who owed him GH¢200,000. The friend had called him to Ashongman Estates, claiming he was ready to repay the debt. Before leaving, Stephen informed his wife about the meeting—the last time anyone saw him alive.

Later that night, Stephen’s wife received a text from his phone stating he had returned home with the money. However, the message seemed suspicious, prompting her to send Stephen’s brother to check. When he arrived, Stephen was nowhere to be found.

The family filed a police report, launching an investigation.

Authorities have since arrested the friend who invited Stephen, charging him with kidnapping and murder as the case heads to court.
