Two Ghanaian players Ransford Gyan and Wahabu Musah were on target for Clemson University in their 4-1 win over South Carolina on Tuesday in NCAA Soccer.

Gyan put the Tigers ahead in the first half with a sublime finish from close range. It was his second goal of the season after scoring one at Indiana Thursday night.

In the 54 minute, Nathan Richmond netted his second goal of the season off of a misplay by the South Carolina keeper to double the Tigers’ lead, before South Carolina cut the lead back to one three minutes later.

The Tigers finished out the match strong with goals by Wahabu Musah and Misei Yoshizawa earning Clemson’s first point in the Palmetto Series rivalry.

This was the first win of the season for Clemson.
