Ghanaian youngster Jerry Afriyie has officially joined Belgian Pro League outfit RAAL La Louvière on a season-long loan from Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadsiah, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 18-year-old striker, regarded as one of Ghana’s most exciting prospects, will spend the 2025/26 campaign in Belgium after impressing during a recent loan spell with Spanish side CD Lugo.

His move to La Louvière comes as the newly promoted club looks to bolster its squad ahead of a challenging debut season in the Belgian top flight.

Afriyie rose to prominence in 2024 with standout performances for Ghana’s U-20 side, the Black Satellites, before earning his senior debut with the Black Stars.

His rapid rise has marked him out as a future star for Ghanaian football, with blistering pace, sharp dribbling, and clinical finishing that make him a constant threat to defenders.

La Louvière are confident the young Ghanaian forward will play a key role in their attack as they aim to establish themselves in Belgium’s top division.

The move represents another significant step in Afriyie’s development, offering him valuable experience in a competitive European league.

The forward has already linked up with his new teammates in training and could make his Belgian Pro League debut when La Louvière face champions Union Saint-Gilloise on Sunday.
