Ghanaian netizens are celebrating Niger’s 4-0 victory over Sudan, which has revived Ghana’s hopes of qualifying for the 2025 AFCON.

They are expressing gratitude to Niger for reigniting their lost hope. Interestingly, Niger’s goal scorer in yesterday’s match has Ghanaian lineage.

The Black Stars must win their two remaining matches to secure six points and hope Sudan loses their final game against Angola to qualify.

Ghana currently sits at the bottom of the qualifying group with two points from four matches. Angola, at the top of the group, has already qualified, leaving one more team to join them.

However, some are pessimistic about Ghana’s qualifying chances, given their abysmal and lacklustre performances over the years.
