Ghanaian rapper, Edem and actor Prince David Osei

Ghanaian rapper, Edem has taken a swipe at actor, Prince David Osei after the latter recently lambasted Minister of Foreign Affairs Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa following the United States government’s recent revision of its visa reciprocity policy for Ghana.

On July 10, 2025, Prince David Osei in a lengthy post on X, blamed Okudzeto Ablakwa for the U.S. government’s announcement that Ghanaian nationals applying for business and tourism visas (B2/B2) will now be issued single-entry visas valid for just three months.

Speaking on this earlier, Prince David Osei, emphasised that the minister lacks emotional intelligence and the necessary diplomatic tact.

He wrote, “At the heart of this issue is a troubling exchange between Ghana’s Foreign Minister and the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Rather than engaging in measured, diplomatic dialogue, the minister’s response came across as defensive and dismissive.

“His remarks, particularly the assertion that he personally did not incur debt, missed the broader point. The issue at hand is not about individual responsibility but about the obligations of the Ghanaian government as a whole.”

But speaking on Prince David Osei’s outbursts, rapper Edem has joined forces with some netizens to backlash the actor on social media.

In Edem’s post, he accused Prince David Osei of using artificial intelligence (AI) to generate his statement on social media.

He emphasised that Prince David Osei‘s post lacked reason, and therefore, he would rather prefer logic over his post.

“I choose Logic over AI. Good night,” he said.

Meanwhile, Edem’s post has since received tons of social media reactions.

While some netizens are praising him for calling the actor to order, others have slammed him stating that his comments are uncalled for.

The new U.S. visa restrictions has marked a shift from previous policies, which allowed Ghanaian applicants multiple entries over periods ranging from one to five years.
