The Black Comets during the game against Algeria

Ghana’s U-15 boys continued their dominant run at the ongoing CAF African Schools Competition with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Algeria on Thursday, April 24, 2025, securing the top spot in their group and booking a place in the semifinals.

The Black Comets wrapped up the group stage in style, finishing with three wins from three matches, all without conceding a single goal.

Their latest triumph over Algeria was a commanding performance, showcasing both their attacking flair and defensive discipline.

The Ghanaian side controlled proceedings from the first whistle, creating numerous chances and capitalising on defensive lapses by the Algerians. Clinical finishing in front of goal and solid teamwork were once again the hallmarks of their display.

Ghana took control early in their African Schools Championship clash against Algeria, with Festus Gyamfi opening the scoring with a well-taken goal. They doubled their lead before the break through a stunning strike from Cyrus Ankomah, making it 2-0 at halftime.

With this result, Ghana not only tops the group but does so in impressive fashion, boasting a 100% record, a goal difference that reflects their attacking prowess, and a perfect defensive record with three clean sheets.

The team’s discipline at the back and creativity up front have made them one of the standout sides of the tournament so far.
