The Ghana transfer window has officially opened as clubs across the country begin preparations for the 2026/27 football season with fresh recruitment plans already underway.
Teams in the Ghana Premier League and lower divisions are now expected to intensify activities in the market as they search for new players to strengthen their squads ahead of the new campaign.
Several clubs are also expected to part ways with a number of players as they continue rebuilding projects aimed at improving performances next season.
Reigning champions Medeama SC are already being linked with multiple players as they prepare for next season’s CAF Champions League campaign, while giants like Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are also expected to be active in the market.
Newly promoted clubs and teams fighting to avoid another difficult campaign are also likely to make important additions in a bid to establish competitive squads before the start of the season.
The transfer window will officially close on August 23, 2026, at 11:59 PM, giving clubs several weeks to complete their business before the new football season begins.
