Fantana expresses her desire for Ghana to have its reality TV show with her in it

Ghanaian musician, Fantana, has expressed her desire for Ghana to have its reality TV show, stating that she would love to be part of it.

Speaking in an interview on Star FM, the host asked Fantana how she landed the opportunity to be part of the popular reality series, Young, Famous & African.

Fantana attributed it to divine favour: “It was by the grace of God.”

The host then followed up by asking whether she had given her decision any serious thought before joining the show, especially considering her status as a public figure and the public profile of her mother, who comes from a prominent Ghanaian family.

Fantana confirmed that she thought it through thoroughly before accepting the offer.

The conversation then turned to the idea of a local Ghanaian reality show.

When asked whether she thought the time is right for Ghana to have its version, Fantana responded: “I think it’s about time Ghanaians had their reality show. It would do well if the right team and production are involved. And of course, it would be even better if I were in it.”

When asked who she would love to share the screen with if given the power to choose the cast, Fantana listed some big names, including Shatta Wale, R2Bees, and Nana Ama McBrown, among others.

The host also raised questions about how personal reality TV can get and whether it leads to real-life conflicts among cast members.

Fantana admitted that tensions usually arise, even for her.

“I’ve had issues with people during the show, but we always find a way to settle things by the end of the season,” she stated.

She wrapped up the interview by adding, “If I’m wrong, I always apologize. That’s how I deal with conflict.”
