The Ghana Rugby Football Union, in collaboration with Rugby Africa and World Rugby, has announced a three-day Training and Education Programme scheduled to take place in Accra from April 3 to April 5, 2026.

The initiative is aimed at coaches, match officials, medical personnel and other key stakeholders within the rugby community, as part of efforts to strengthen the development of the sport in Ghana.

According to organizers, the World Rugby-certified programme will offer internationally recognized courses in coaching, match officiating, first aid in rugby and Immediate Care in Rugby (ICIR). The training is expected to equip participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to improve performance and ensure safety standards within the game.

The programme forms part of ongoing efforts to build capacity and promote professionalism across all levels of rugby in the country. Organizers are encouraging interested individuals within the rugby fraternity to take advantage of the opportunity.
