Ghana’s men’s 4x100m relay team placed fourth at the World Relay Championships in Botswana, delivering a strong performance with a time of 38.19 seconds.

The quartet of Abdul Rashid Saminu, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah and Edwin Gadayi showed impressive coordination and speed against a competitive field, narrowly missing out on a podium finish. Their run, however, keeps their qualification hopes alive for the upcoming World Athletics Championships.

Despite falling just short of the top three, the team’s time ranks among their better performances in recent outings, signaling positive progress as they continue to build momentum on the international stage.

Ghana will have another opportunity to secure qualification when they return to the track on Sunday. The team is expected to fine-tune their baton exchanges and overall execution as they aim to improve on their previous result.

With experienced sprinters in the lineup, expectations remain high for a stronger finish in their next race.
