The Ghana Prisons Service has rubbished widespread rumours suggesting that incarcerated televangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Agradaa, is battling severe health complications while serving her sentence.

In a press release signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Deputy Director of Prisons Janet Asabea, the Service described the reports as false, misleading, and deliberately fabricated by individuals seeking attention and followers on social media.

The statement comes after speculation spread online alleging that the founder of Heaven Way International Church was suffering from swollen legs, frequently in tears, and receiving special medical attention from her private doctor at least four times a week.

The Prisons Service, however, firmly denied these claims, stressing that Agradaa has not experienced any major health complications and that no inmate in their custody receives preferential treatment.

“These claims are nothing more than calculated attempts to incite unnecessary tension and mislead the public. We urge Ghanaians to disregard such fabrications,” the statement read.

Agradaa, who was handed a 15-day jail sentence, continues to serve her time without incident, according to the Service.
