Ghanaian artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, has expressed disappointment over what he described as the high level of disunity in the Ghanaian music industry.

Speaking during a discussion on UTV on March 17, 2025, Bullgod said that the music industry’s failure to unite and work together is a major obstacle to its growth and development.

His comments came after the recent controversies surrounding two UK concerts organized by separate Ghanaian camps: Stonebwoy’s team and Akwaba UK.

The two events were scheduled for the same date, leading to accusations of sabotage and causing chaos among both camps, with fans fighting each other.

Although both camps eventually had successful shows, Bullgod remained disappointed by the events that led up to the concerts.

He stated that the back-and-forth between the two camps projected the long-standing disunity within the industry.

“This whole back and forth, see what it nearly caused us and we sit here and say that Ghana won that night. That’s not the Ghana we want; that’s not the look we want. There’s no way in other nations like Nigeria, you will see that Davido has a show today and Burnaboy too will be having a show the same day and in the same space, they won’t do that.

“We have been ununified for a very long time and now we’ve taken it that level and it’s not nice. Before the show, see the kind of argument that went on. When you go into the diaspora, somewhere like London and the U.S.A., Ghanaians started this before the Nigerians joined” he said.

According to Bullgod, Nigerians are doing better than Ghanaians because they are united and understand each other.

“They are doing better not because they don’t argue or fight but it’s because they understand each other. So, I will urge that we stop the little argument else it will pull us back. I will sit here and say Ghana won, we didn’t win. We just displayed our disunity and it’s sad on that level.

“Everyone’s show went on well, everybody will say we did but there’s no point to prove. We have to prove that we’re unified as a united fort and we can push an agenda,” he added.
