Ghana international, Tariq Lamptey, delivered a moment of brilliance on Monday night to help Brighton & Hove Albion secure a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa in a pulsating Week 19 English Premier League clash at Villa Park.

The Black Stars youngster, known for his versatility and attacking flair, started the game and played a crucial role throughout the 90 minutes.

The match began with Brighton taking an early lead in the 12th minute through Simon Adingra, who capitalised on a loose ball inside the box to slot home.

Aston Villa fought back and equalised in the 37th minute when Ollie Watkins converted a penalty kick.

Two minutes into the second half, Morgan Rogers scored with a beautiful finish to give Aston Villa a 2-1 lead.

The game looked destined for a Brighton victory until the 82nd minute when Tariq Lamptey stepped up with a sensational finish.

Receiving a simple square pass from Joao Pedro inside the box, Lamptey composed himself and unleashed a powerful strike into the bottom left corner, ensuring Brighton left Villa Park with a point.

With this goal, Lamptey now boasts two goals and one assist in seven Premier League appearances this season.
