The 10th-anniversary edition of the Ghana Beverage Awards (GBA @10) launch was held on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the offices of Global Media Alliance in Dzorwulu, Accra.

The event, themed “A Toast to Ten”, saw attendance from government officials, industry regulators, business leaders, and other stakeholders in the beverage sector.

It focused on celebrating ten years of recognising quality, fostering innovation, and promoting local brands within Ghana’s beverage industry by reflecting on the awards’ ten-year history and outlining the activities planned for the anniversary year.

Speaking at the event, the GBA Committee Chair, Charles Tortoe, highlighted that the 10th edition will be a “legacy award”.

“When we look at our beverage industry, the brand of these awards has elevated a lot of our industries to that prime light that assures us that there’s a guarantee of safety of their products in our markets and beyond,” Tortoe noted.

He continued that “GBA is really a brand of excellency that’s seen in the food safety of various beverages, seen in the excellent packaging that is environmentally friendly and is also seen in the sustainable products as we look forward to the next decade ahead of us.”

Emma Wenani, the Chief Director of the Global Media Alliance, which is the organiser of the annual Ghana Beverage Awards, highlighted the transformational areas of the Ghana Beverage Awards.

“One of the things that keeps changing every year is the number of beverage companies that keeps coming onboard, and also the introduction of public voting for the product of the year category has brought a lot of excitement to the voting process,” she said.

When asked how GBA got to this level of recognition, Wenani explained, “We have a very good committee that are very dedicated to going through the whole process of the right beverage being selected as the winner, and the feedback from the public every year has aided in adding new things.”

The launch was a glamorous ceremony which featured a curated beverage tasting lounge and a performance by artiste RMG Wonder. It signified the official start of the year-long celebration leading up to the main awards ceremony.
