Dancehall artiste Samini has described the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) as a special institution that needs the right people at the helm to ensure the proper management of music affairs in the country.

In an interview on Hitz FM on November 12, 2025, Samini acknowledged the efforts of those currently leading the organization but noted that there is still much work to be done at GHAMRO.

“I like when young people are given the chance to take offices like that. So, GHAMRO is a special place that needs the right heads to actually manage it. Those who are there are doing their best, but we still have a long way to go,” he said.

When asked whether he would consider taking on a leadership role at the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) or GHAMRO in the future, Samini said he would not rule out the possibility.

He explained that as an artiste who has grown and developed through the industry, he is open to serving if the time and opportunity are right.

“You never say never, you know. While we grow, we develop ourselves to make ourselves fit for call ups as and when. So, if the time comes and I’m called and I think I’m available, we’ll see. Because any opportunity to help shape our industry is a blessing unto whoever is called,” he added.
