The Ghana Football Association has opened discussions with the Jamaica Football Federation over a possible international friendly involving the Black Stars as preparations intensify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The proposed friendly is expected to form part of Ghana’s build-up toward the global tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Officials believe the match could provide the Black Stars with valuable competitive experience against quality opposition ahead of the Mundial. It would also offer new head coach Carlos Queiroz another opportunity to assess his squad and implement his tactical ideas.

Ghana has stepped up preparations in recent weeks following the appointment of Queiroz, with players already beginning camp in Wales ahead of upcoming international assignments.

If finalized, the friendly against Jamaica is expected to attract significant interest, given the growing football rivalry and cultural connection between both nations.
