A CAF Licence C Coaching Course exclusively for women is currently underway at the Ghana Football Association Technical Centre in Prampram, as efforts continue to strengthen women’s football development in the country.

The programme has brought together 30 aspiring and active female coaches from different parts of Ghana, all seeking to improve their technical knowledge and coaching abilities. The course forms part of broader initiatives aimed at increasing the number of qualified women coaches within the domestic game and preparing them for higher responsibilities in football management.

Participants are undergoing intensive training sessions focused on modern coaching methods, tactical development, player management, and the application of FIFA and CAF coaching standards. Organisers believe the initiative will play a major role in building the technical capacity of women involved in football and creating more opportunities for female coaches at both club and national team levels.

The course also aligns with FIFA’s growing emphasis on empowering women in football leadership and coaching roles, with many stakeholders hopeful that more female coaches will gradually be entrusted with responsibilities involving women’s national teams in the future.
