The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed Headmaster of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School, Joshua Vidzro, to temporarily step aside following allegations of sexual misconduct.
A statement to that effect, issued on December 6, 2025, read, “The decision has been taken to ensure a thorough and impartial investigation into the claims. We remain committed to maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment for all students.”

The GES explained that until investigations into the matter are concluded, the headmaster will remain off his post.
“The headmaster will remain relieved of his duties until the investigation is concluded. Appropriate measures will be taken based on the findings,” it noted.
