Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder George Paaku has returned to full fitness after recovering from illness and is expected to be available for selection ahead of their Ghana Premier League week 25 clash against Basake Holy Stars.
The midfielder missed the ‘Phobians’ last two league matches against Berekum Chelsea and Bibiani GoldStars due to the illness, leaving a noticeable gap in the team’s midfield during that period.
Paaku’s last appearance for Hearts of Oak came in the Super Clash against Asante Kotoko, where he was introduced in the 24th minute to replace the injured Hamza Issah.
His return will serve as a timely boost for head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani as the Rainbow Club looks to bounce back to winning ways in the league.
Hearts of Oak are currently occupying third position on the Ghana Premier League table with 41 points as they continue to chase the top spot.
The game against Basake Holy Stars on Sunday, March 8, at the University of Ghana Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 15:00 GMT (3:00 pm).
