    Veteran actress Genevieve Nnaji has responded to a fan who came under her comment section to ridicule her for being old.

    In the exchange that took place on X (Twitter), the fan remarked that she was looking older. However, the actress didn’t let the comment slide.

    She calmly responded to him by implying that she would grow older and even die eventually someday if she was lucky.

    The fan wrote, “You really cannot cheat nature. My fine wine is finally growing old.”

    Genevieve responded with, “It get’s worse bro. I’ll get so old I’ll die. If I’m lucky.“

    Fans of the thespian and internet users who came across the post have taken to the comment section to support her, speaking against the culture of age-shaming.

    Below are some of the comments;

    “Getting old is a blessing, but with your timeless beauty, you’ll always be young at heart.”

    “But then again, if growing older is the cost of getting to live, maybe it’s not such a bad deal after all. It’s a gift that not everyone is fortunate enough to receive.”

    “Perfect response if that was meant as a slight! It’s not news, is it?”

    “Anytime I see a tweet like this, I laugh. You won’t be in your 20s forever, so pray you can reach her age or die now.”

    “Huh?? You’re either blind or seeking attention.”
