The office of the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse, the Spiritual Overlord of the GaDangme people, has reportedly summoned the family head of the late Ghanaian highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, following controversy surrounding the musician’s burial site.

Daddy Lumba passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving behind a rich musical legacy that shaped Ghana’s highlife music industry for decades.

The legendary musician was survived by two wives—Akosua Serwaa, whom he married traditionally in 1991 and under German civil law in 2004, and Priscilla Ofori Atta, popularly known as Odo Broni.

His funeral service was held on December 13, 2025, at Heroes Park near the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, drawing thousands of mourners including fans, colleagues in the music industry and prominent personalities.

Weeks after his passing, rumours began circulating that the late “Aben Wo Ha” hitmaker had been buried at his residence in East Legon in Accra rather than at a public cemetery.

In an interview with Ezra TV on February 26, 2026, Daddy Lumba’s family head, Abusuapanin Tupac, reportedly confirmed the speculation.

He stated that the musician had been buried at his plush East Legon home in accordance with his final wishes.

According to him, members of the family were aware of the burial location, adding that claims suggesting otherwise were misleading.

Following the comments, the office of the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse reportedly issued a letter summoning Abusuapanin Tupac to appear before the spiritual authority.
