Actor and producer Kwaku Manu has opened up about the challenges comedian Funny Face went through and his role in helping him during a difficult period in his life.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on UTV’s Atuu on January 17, 2026, Kwaku Manu disclosed that he and Funny Face were not on good terms for a long period before Funny Face reached out to him for help.
According to him, the two had parted ways for two years and nine months before Funny Face contacted him in a desperate state.
“We parted ways for 2 years and nine months. One day, Funny Face reached out to me for help. He said if I don’t help him, he will die,” he said.
Kwaku Manu explained that even after Funny Face returned from rehabilitation, many people assumed he was fine because of his active presence on social media.
However, the comedian continued to struggle privately.
“After he returned from rehab, he on his phone and people thought he was okay. Two weeks after, he called me to help him because he dreamt that he’s dead,” he shared.
Concerned about the situation, Kwaku Manu invited Funny Face over so they could talk and seek solutions.

He said, in his view, Funny Face’s challenges went beyond physical or mental health.
“I asked him to meet me so we could talk. I think his case was spiritual because if it’s physical, he would have been fine by now,” he stated.
Kwaku Manu revealed that he took Funny Face to Mama Vida’s church for prayers before bringing him to his house.
According to him, the prayers had a positive impact on Funny Face.
“I then brought him to my house after I took him for prayers at Mama Vida’s church. He told me that since the woman prayed for him, whatever pain he used to have in his head had stopped,” he said.
However, Kwaku Manu said helping Funny Face did not come without consequences, as he personally experienced spiritual attacks after getting involved.
“I was nearly attacked spiritually but I had to rush to Mama Vida for deliverance. No matter what you do, if you’re helping someone who is under a spiritual attack, you will definitely be involved,” he explained.
He noted that the deliverance helped him greatly and used the experience to caution people who may want to help others in similar situations.
