Legendary actor, Kofi Adjorlolo was guest on this weekend’s edition of THE LIZ SHOW hosted by Elizabeth Essuman, and the conversation was arguably undiluted. It was one sit-down that will for a long time linger in the hearts of entertainment aficionados because of the exclusives that came juicy. Nothing was short of interesting from start to finish as soon as the lights went on and the host welcomed the guest – nonstop beautiful moment it was on set.
Kofi Adjorlolo told Elizabeth that everyone who knew him growing up thought that he was going to end up as a popular musician rather than the successful actor he is today. “I love music so much that as of 8 years old, I could play the trumpet so well. Fast forward, when I had become a teenager, I played some sessions with Gyedu Blay Ambolley, I also traveled to Nigeria to play for Sir Victor Uwaifo, among others.” Music back then was everything to me.
For a man whose passion was also in the media, he opened up that his days at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), was admirable and blessed with so much learning, one that he is grateful for.
As the conversation went deeper, a question as to if he would be happy to see any of his children go his path as an actor; Kofi responded, “….I won’t encourage any of my children to go into acting.”
This response was followed by the fact that the current situation in Ghana isn’t encouraging, attractive and enabling for younger ones to do well and be happy in the same field that has brought him fame. “Do we even have insurance to back the actors and actresses in Ghana?” He quizzed.
