Nations FC head coach, Samuel Frimpong Manso has expressed excitement after guiding them to their first-ever MTN FA Cup final following a hard-fought win over Aduana FC.

The Sky Blues secured a narrow 1-0 victory at the Swedru Stadium last Friday, April 17, with Emmanuel Annor scoring the decisive goal in the eighth minute to separate the two sides.

Reacting after the game, Manso could not hide his joy at reaching the final, highlighting the team’s performance and composure throughout the contest.

“It feels great to be in this position. Everybody was excited about how the game was played. Being the first team to qualify for the FA Cup final, we are very excited,” he said.

The coach also pointed to the players’ hunger for success as a major driving force behind the result.

“The team has never won a trophy, and now they are in the final, so that alone gave them the motivation to go for the kill. We were in control, in terms of defending, we did not give them any space,” Manso added.

Despite Aduana FC’s efforts to fight back after conceding early, Nations FC remained solid at the back to protect their lead and secure qualification.

They will now face the winner of the second semi-final clash between Medeama SC and Dreams FC which comes off today, as they chase their first major trophy.
