Outspoken media personality Countryman Songo has hailed the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, for his handling of educational matters in Ghana.

According to him, NAPO has been instrumental in President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia‘s government in implementing key policies.

He stated that the Free Senior High School policy was well implemented by NAPO during his tenure as the Minister of Education and may not have been well established if not for the NPP running mate.

Speaking on Asempa FM, Countryman Songo commended NAPO for his handling of government issues and being influential in the Free SHS policy.

“When Akufo-Addo and Bawumia introduced the Free SHS, NAPO was the education minister and handled it very well. If NAPO had not helped them, it would not have survived.

“It was through his exploits at the education ministry that the Free SHS policy became established in the system,” he said in Twi.

It is worth noting that the host of the Fire for Fire show has been campaigning vigorously for Dr. Bawumia to be voted into power in the 2024 general elections.
