A group of foul-mouthed teenagers sparked a terrifying brawl inside a tube carriage after a middle-aged passenger asked them to stop vaping.

The heated exchange started when one girl wearing a baseball vape ignored the man’s request for her to stop vaping and instead exhales smoke towards his direction.

After the man says to her, ‘don’t smoke in the middle of the train’, she continues to vape and tells him to ‘f**k off’.

The pair continued to exchange words, and as it became more heated, she then appeared to spit in his direction.

The group she was with then started to shout abuse in his direction while still inside the tube, which was travelling on the Elizabeth Line.

While hurling abuse at passengers inside the train, the girl then lashed out at a woman before a mass brawl broke out inside the train.

The group are then ejected from the tube at the next stop, but they continue to scream abuse from the platform towards the passengers inside the train.

The girl had to be held back on the platform by her friends, while other members of the group continued yelling insults and making offensive hand gestures.

Responding to the footage, which has gone viral online, one person wrote: ‘This is exactly what people are fed up with on UK public transport.

‘Vaping in a packed train and then turning aggressive when challenged shows zero respect for others.’

Another added: ‘Fine her and all of them for vaping just as you would if she had lit a cigarette.

‘Also she is vile spitting at an older man. If a man had spat at her there would have been outrage.

‘Her behaviour is disgusting.’

While a third wrote: ‘We need to bring back guards on trains, if not British Transport Police.

‘Train was far too crowded as well. Good on the people for getting them off.

‘Vaping is pathetic always and illegal and dangerous on public transport.’

British Transport Police have confirmed they are aware of the incident and have launched an investigation into the altercation

Smoking is strictly prohibited on all London Underground trains and stations, and can carry potential fines of up to £1,000.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: ‘We’re aware of a video showing an altercation on a train. Enquiries are ongoing.

‘Anyone with information should text BTP on 61016, or call 0800 40 50 40, using the reference 134 of 20 March.’

Transport for London has been approached for comment by the Daily Mail.
