In a highly anticipated matchup, raining WBC super featherweight champion O’Shaquie Foster dominated reigning WBC featherweight champion Stephen Fulton in about that ended up being for the WBC interim lightweight championship! This was initially supposed to be for Fosters title at 130 lb, but when Fulton didn’t make weight by 2 lb, the WBC decided to make it for the interim title at 135, due in part to the inactivity in the division that will be caused by full WBC champ Shakur Stevenson moving up to super lightweight to take on WBO champ Teofimo Lopez.

Now that all that is settled, this was a rather one-sided fight, dominated by Foster’s style which mitigated anything Fulton tried. Foster simply outjabbed, outworked and outmaneuvered Fulton over the 12 rounds. Final scores were 119-109, 118-110 and 117-111 for Foster. He will have 15 days to decide if he wishes to stay at lightweight or move back down to keep defending his title at super feather. Given that Fulton was coming up from 126 and couldn’t even make 130, it’ll be interesting to see what he chooses for his future.

Foster moves to 24-3, KOs, while Fulton dropped 23-2, 8 KOs
