Formula One star George Russell has revealed he’s engaged to his long-term girlfriend Carmen Mundt.
The Mercedes racer shared he proposed to the Spanish businesswoman in a heartfelt social media post.
George shared adorable snaps of the proposal, including one of Carmen showing off her beautiful engagement ring, after he popped the question during a romantic candle-lit dinner.
The official F1 account was among the first congratulate the happy couple, after they got engaged while on a sunny island getaway.
The couple have been together since 2020, with George sharing back in June he was ready to pop the question.
Carmen was born in Spain, and moved to London when she was 18 to study business management and finance from the University of Westminster.

George had previously credited Carmen with helping him to stay grounded as an F1 driver, and described her as his ‘future.’
He told The Times: ‘Carmen brings me stability when it comes to racing and also a way to disconnect.
‘Without doubt she’s my future. So [I hope we’ll be married] in due course. It won’t be next week, but it won’t be longer than five years. So somewhere in that timeframe.’
George also said in March: ‘I have a really great group of people around me. Carmen is a huge part of that. She supports me in every way possible.
‘When I was in Melbourne and preparing to race she got on the time zone, going to bed at six at night and waking up at three in the morning.
‘I’m sure some people prefer going out for dinner with their friends instead. But not only does she support me mentally, she’s invested in what we’re trying to achieve. And that helps a lot. I feel very fortunate.’
The pair met by chance over a meal six years ago, when she did not know he was a Formula One driver.
Now, having quit her high-flying financial job in London to live with Russell in Monaco, she regularly supports him at races.

George first came across fashion influencer Carmen, when the Spaniard had been set to meet a friend of his for a date in 2020.
‘My mate couldn’t make it, so I thought I’ll swing along to see how it goes,’ Russell told The Sun.
‘She told me she’s from the south of Spain and she wouldn’t ever expect someone to know the small place she’s from.
‘I knew exactly where she was from, so it was quite coincidental.’
The pair quickly bonded, with George having spent a significant amount of time in the city of Jerez in southern Spain where Carmen hails from during his karting days.
When the pair celebrated five years together, Carmen detailed her pride in her partner in a post on social media.
She wrote: ‘Five years with the most wonderful person I could ever ask for. Forever proud of who you are and what you do.’
Russell sits third in the F1 standings this season, 59 points behind teenage team-mate Kimi Antonelli and nine behind seven-time world champion and Ferrari ace Lewis Hamilton.
