Just a little less than a week from calling his first Super Bowl as a color commentator with FOX, Tom Brady is at the center of media attention for something other than his voice.

Brady’s been to the Super Bowl ten times, but he’s never been in a broadcast booth at the game before.

The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback spent all offseason preparing for his new role. One former NFL star believes he also did something else to get ready for the season.

On the WFAN-New York radio show ‘Boomer & Gio’, the topic of Turkish hair transplants was being discussed.

One of the hosts, former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Boomer Esiason, believes that Brady may have gone overseas to get the procedure done.

‘I’ve been telling you about this since Tom Brady came back with a full head of hair,’ Esiason said on the show.

Other broadcasters, such as ESPN NFL commentator Joe Buck, have gotten hair transplants

Brady has not publicly commented on any potential procedures he’s undergone.

Per USA Today, over a million people traveled to Turkey in the year 2022 alone just for the purpose of hair transplants. Those reports indicated that the country took in $2billion in revenue from these procedures.

If Brady did, in fact, get a hair transplant, he wouldn’t be the first NFL commentator to do so.

ESPN’s head NFL commentator, Joe Buck, has undergone multiple hair transplants in the past.

Back in July of 2022, Buck showed a picture of himself being operated on by doctors as he got ready for the upcoming season at his new company. That year, he switched to ESPN from FOX.

‘Training camp doesn’t just start for players,’ he said in an Instagram post. ‘New network, newly arranged follicles. Hello ESPN!!! Cannot wait for September 12, and for this green to wash out of my hair. I promise I’ll look normal-ish by week 1. Oh and why four people for one head??? It’s a big head!’

Buck also once suffered complications from a procedure back in 2011 which led to paralysis of his vocal chords.

Brady is set to call Super Bowl LIX from New Orleans this week between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
