Akwasi Serebour Boateng, a former management member of Asante Kotoko, has offered a reward of GH¢10,000 to anyone who volunteers information that leads to the arrest of the person who stabbed the late Asante Kotoko fan, Francis Yaw Frimpong, alias Nana Pooley.
On Facebook, Serebour Boateng stated that the above-quoted amount will be given to any member of the public whose contribution to the investigation process leads directly to the arrest of the prime suspect in the murder case.
“As a former management member of Kotoko, I am offering GH¢10,000 to anyone who will assist in arresting the killer of Nana Pooley,” he posted on Facebook on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
His promise follows a revelation by Asante Kotoko’s lawyer, Sarfo Duku, that the Ghana Police Service has identified the killer.
Speaking to reporters after a court appearance, Duku disclosed that police documents and statements from suspects all point to a man named Braimah as the individual who fatally stabbed Pooley.
However, he remains at large.
“One person is still at large. He’s called Braimah, and according to the police, based on their findings, he is the one who actually stabbed the deceased,” Duku stated.
“In fact, according to the police, I’m speaking based on their official report, which is now a public document, all the accused persons have admitted that it was Braimah, who is currently on the run, that stabbed Pooley to death.”
Asante Kotoko held a one-week memorial celebration for their fallen supporter on Sunday, February 16, 2025.
The event saw fans from various Ghana Premier League clubs come together to pay their respects.
