Former Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Salifu Ibrahim has reportedly completed his nationality switch from Ghana to Benin.
According to reports from Kumasi-based Fakye TV, the 2021 Ghana Premier League Player of the Year will now be playing for “The Squirrels” of Benin.
The 25-year-old midfielder according to the reports will be named in Benin’s squad for the November 2025 international games by head coach Gernot Rohr.

The Squirrels of Benin will be preparing for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and the former Accra Hearts of Oak captain is expected to play a huge role in the campaign.
In three and half years in the Ghana Premier League with Accra Hearts of Oak, Salifu won two FA Cup titles, the President’s Cup, Ghana Super Cup and was an integral member of the team that won the league in 2021.
Salifu Ibrahim currently plays for FC Drita in the Kosovan Superliga.
