For many, an hour-and-a-half in an away end on a Saturday afternoon is the highlight of a long, hard week, providing a chance to watch the sport they love and take their minds off everyday worries.
But very few can claim to have found romance on the terraces, with the stands more commonly associated with chanting, shouting and soggy pies than true love.
One diehard, however, has put his fellow fans to shame, scoring not once but twice already this season while watching his Fulham side surge into the European places.
Last month, X user @Lukehsffc was spotted crossing the divide and getting a rival supporter’s number during his team’s 3-2 defeat at Manchester City, winning off the pitch even if the Cottagers could not seal victory on it.
Now he has struck again, sealing Fulham’s impressive 2-0 win at Crystal Palace today with a kiss, while hinting that he may have just found the one.

He posted a video to X of him celebrating the west London side’s victory at Selhurst Park with a mystery woman.
The Cottagers fan appears to be asking her for a ‘kiss on the cheek’ before turning his head towards her and ending up with a peck on the lips.
In the meantime, both continue screaming as they revel in yet another memorable away day for Marco Silva’s men.
He then posted a picture of the two having a warm chat during the match with the caption: ‘They say romance is dead met my future wife at palace away up the fulhammmm.’
It comes after the social media sensation leant over the barriers separating the two sets of fans at the Etihad last month in order to secure a woman’s phone number.
The Fulham away supporter held up his phone to the City fan before she makes his long trip to Manchester worthwhile by seemingly mouthing her number to him.
His latest success came in a convincing win over struggling Palace which seemed to be on the cards from the early stages when the home side failed to heed an early warning as Nathaniel Clyne’s charged-down clearance landed at Emile Smith Rowe’s feet.
On that occasion, Smith Rowe’s first touch was uncharacteristically heavy, allowing defender Maxence Lacroix to dive in and clear the danger.
The Englishman didn’t have to wait long for his next gift. This time the guilty party was Lacroix, who went from hero to zero when his sloppy pass was charged down by Smith Rowe.
