Jalen Milroe has come under fire after the Alabama quarterback was seen posing for photographs and videos shortly before enduring a nightmare against Michigan.

The No 11 Crimson Tide were beaten 19-13 by Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa, Florida, on New Year’s Eve.

Milroe completed 16 of 32 passes for 192 yards, one touchdown and one interception. But the quarterback had just 7 yards on 16 rushes and he suffered a mistake-ridden first quarter.

The redshirt junior was involved in three turnovers in four plays – a fumbled snap, an interception and a strip sack – that allowed Michigan to race into a 16-0 lead.

Shortly before the game, a video emerged of Milroe standing near the tunnel of Raymond James Stadium. He was wearing headphones and a branded hoodie.

The quarterback posed with his hands behind his back and his head bowed, while a photographer and a cameraman took pictures and footage of him, respectively.

He then wandered on to the field to join his teammates.

The video resurfaced after Alabama’s loss and many fans trolled Milroe over his difficult afternoon.

Others, meanwhile, said they hoped it signals the end of his time with the Crimson Tide.

‘Does that help him make completions?’ one fan joked.

‘He always has to come out and pose for the cameras before each game. Can’t help himself,’ a third said.

‘If he is the starter next year, I’m done with this team forever,’ added another, while another Alabama fan said: ‘He needs to leave now.’

After the game, Milroe addressed his future amid speculation he will enter the 2025 NFL draft rather than return to college.

‘Right now, I’m just gonna try to soak up this moment, today, and not really try to focus on any future endeavors,’ he said.
