A man has been arrested after a stolen car crashed into a barrier in Flemington, Melbourne.
Witnesses said that a man and a woman were seen attempting to kick the windscreen of the crashed vehicle before taking some items and fleeing the scene.
A police search of the area later found the man hiding in a recycling bin.
Police said that a firearm, drugs, and a machete were discovered inside.
The woman remains at large.
