Five people have been found murdered in a home in a wealthy Washington state neighborhood.

Police say they discovered multiple dead and injured victims on Monday morning in the home in Fall City, about 30 miles east of Seattle.

The victims include multiple ‘school age’ children, according to the authorities.

‘I can say that it’s going to be really a tragic event for the community, for anybody who has any connection out here,’ said King County Deputy Mike Mellis, according to King5

Multiple people have been found dead murdered in a home in a quiet Seattle neighborhood

‘I can say that it’s going to be really a tragic event for the community, for anybody who has any connection out here,’ said King County Deputy Mike Mellis

Mellis added the murders were potentially related to domestic violence

Several witnesses told KIRO 7News that the shooter was a ‘brother’ who tried hanging himself following the murders. It’s unclear if he survived, but police said they don’t have anyone in custody.

Fall City is ranked 29 out of 273 cities in the US for cost of living, which is 120 percent the national average – with a median home listing price of $1.5 million.

Police have yet to confirm the number of people found in the home.

The incident, which police have called a ‘family tragedy,’ also left some people injured, but officials have not revealed how many.

Detectives arrived at the ‘tragic scene’ at about 5am after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting in the Lake Alice neighborhood.

The initial call was about a suicide attempt and possible gunfire inside a home, according to KOMO News.

‘It’s very early stages of this investigation, but it’s going to affect many people,’ Mellis added.

‘I can say that it’s going to be really a tragic event for the community, for anybody who has any connection out here.’

Several law enforcement agencies were still working the scene as of 9am local time and officials said the crime scene will likely be active all day.

However, they added that there is no threat to the community.

Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Brandyn Hull told the Seattle Times that at least one person was hospitalized after the shooting.

Hull also said a neighbor had given medical assistance to the injured victim.

DailyMail.com has reached out to the King County sheriff’s office for more details on the incident.

No suspects are in custody at the time.

Mellis said Fall City, with a population of about 2,000, is a ‘pretty nice area, low crime rate in general.’

‘This is a place where people come to raise their families,’ he added.

The Snoqualmie Valley School District has sent an email to families warning there may be ‘multiple school-aged victims,’ according to King5 news reporter Jake Wittenberg

However the district said the family involved ‘did not attend our schools.’
