Savanna Region, Ghana – In a startling turn of events, a Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) vehicle rushing to respond to a fire outbreak was itself involved in a serious accident earlier today. The incident occurred at Buipe in the Savanna Region, leaving the service vehicle overturned on its side.
The dramatic scene, captured by bystanders, shows the red fire service truck lying helplessly on the road’s edge, a stark and unsettling contrast to its usual image of urgent purpose. The vehicle, a vital first-response unit, was on an active emergency call—a reminder of the inherent risks firefighters and personnel face every time they answer the call of duty.
