The Ghana National Fire Service is battling two simultaneous fire outbreaks in parts of the Greater Accra Region.

According to a post by the fire service, officers have responded to fire outbreaks at Kwashieman in the Ablekuma North Constituency and the Saglemi Housing Project in the Ningo Prampram Constituency.

“Two (2) simultaneous fires at Kwashieman and Saglemi Affordable Housing Units. Firefighters at both locations are working hard to put both situations under control,” the fire service stated in a post published on Facebook around 7:02 pm on Monday, December 24, 2024.

A video accompanying the post shows firefighters dousing a blaze.

While the post lacked further details, reports from social media indicate that the fire at Kwashieman is at a site close to the N1 Highway behind a fuel station.
