In a lighthearted video making rounds online, a man proudly and cheekily showed off the spaghetti his beautiful girlfriend had cooked for them.

The clip begins with the girlfriend shyly hiding in a corner as the man pans the camera toward a pot on the stove.

As he moves in for a closer look, she tries frantically to block his view, clearly aware that her culinary creation might not impress viewers.

When the camera finally catches what’s inside the pot, it reveals a clumpy, overcooked mess, with spaghetti strands stuck together in a way that had many comparing it to “overcooked rice”.

Far from the long, separated strands you’d expect, the dish looked more like mashed potatoes or even eba, according to amused commenters. Despite the questionable result, the video struck a humorous chord online.

Netizens flooded the comments with jokes and light teasing about the state of the spaghetti, with some praising the man for his good-natured reaction and others offering the girlfriend some cooking tips.

    The comments from the video,
