In recent years, several female Ghanaian artistes have achieved significant recognition and success, contributing to a more diverse and dynamic music scene.

While the industry is still male-dominated, these women are making their mark with unique sounds and styles.

Here’s a look at some of these notable female artistes.

Her genre-blending music and bold aesthetic have garnered her global recognition.

    MOLIY

Ghanaian singer Moliy is dominating the music scene with her genre-blending Afro-fusion sound, global collaborations, and strong digital presence.

Her breakout on Amaarae’s viral hit “Sad Girlz Luv Money” and recent success with “Shake It to the Max (Fly)” have earned her millions of streams and international recognition.

As the first Ghanaian artiste to perform at the BET Awards and with over 10 million monthly Spotify listeners, Moliy is redefining Afropop with authenticity, creativity, and cross-cultural appeal.

    GYAKIE

Jackline Acheampong, popularly known as Gyakie, continues to make waves on the global music scene with jaw-dropping projects.

Her latest track, ‘Sankofa’ for instance, has debuted on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, securing a spot within the Top 50.

This achievement marks another significant milestone in Gyakie’s burgeoning international career.

    WENDY SHAY

Wendy Asiamah Addo, also known as Wendy Shay, has been captured among the 2025 ‘Top 30 Most Influential Women in Music’ by the 3music Awards Women’s Brunch.

Her current breakout hit is “Too Late,” has fast gained traction both locally and internationally.

She has also been captured on scores of global platforms and international media so far this year.

    EFYA

Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, popularly known as Efya, has maintained her legendary status for over a decade in the industry and is still relevant.

She is one of Ghana’s global exports in music and has released several bangers this year, and has maintained her global dominance over the years.

Her latest track, “Radar,” is currently making serious waves.

    CINA SOUL
